what we offer – rebuilding lives

Rebuilding Lives is part of the Department of Communities and Local Government’s Homelessness Places of Change Programme.  The Task Group is made up of organisations and agencies working together to improve and increase the provision of meaningful occupation and activities for homeless people in Manchester.

Meeting every few months, it provides the opportunity for those working with homeless people and service users to get together and share information, ideas, good practice and contacts.  The aim of the project is to promote independent living and assist people in moving on in their lives.

Rebuilding Lives is also responsible for administering a Small Grants Scheme providing capital funding to agencies to promote new meaningful occupation and activities and assist recipients in finding further funding.

Rebuilding Lives also produce ‘Summat t’do durin’ day’ which is a directory of meaningful activities for homeless people in Manchester.   You can download the latest copy here.

From May 2010, Rebuilding Lives is hosted at Manchester Ceramics Enterprises. To get in touch, phone Steph Roth, Project Worker on 07792 958 639.
