mentoring
We run a mentoring scheme where we match up volunteer mentors with ex-offenders, to provide extra support for getting into training, voluntary work, or employment. Mentoring provides an opportunity to meet up with someone regularly to set manageable goals, talk about their progress and barriers. Evidence shows that mentoring helps ex-offenders to keep up motivation and overcome problems that might get in the way. Our mentoring takes place across all 10 of the boroughs in Greater Manchester as part of the Achieve North West project. Referrals to this scheme are made via Greater Manchester Probation Trust - we are not currently able to accept other referrals for mentoring in the community.

This project is funded by the European Social Fund co-financed with the Ministry of Justice /National Offender Management Service.
