mentoring

We run a mentoring scheme where we match up volunteer mentors with ex-offenders, to provide extra support for getting into training, voluntary work, or employment.  Mentoring provides an opportunity to meet up with someone regularly to set manageable goals, talk about their progress and barriers. Evidence shows that mentoring helps ex-offenders to keep up motivation and overcome problems that might get in the way. Our mentoring takes place across all 10 of the boroughs in Greater Manchester. Referrals to this scheme are made via Greater Manchester Probation Trust - we are not currently able to accept other referrals for mentoring in the community.

Our Back on Track Centre also provides mentoring support to students who are on a course at the centre, and need some extra support to widen their horizons and try new things.
