On July 15th 2010 we held a summer fete at the Manchester education centre which coincided with our AGM. The event gave us a chance to showcase the fantastic work of Back on Track students and provided a friendly environment for our partner agencies, funders, staff, volunteers and students to get together and celebrate the success of Back on Track and to share their stories, experiences and feedback. We also gave all those attending the event an opportunity to attend our AGM.
The event included an exhibition of students’ work – art, pottery, films, poems, presentations and live performances of drama and music. There was also a selection of stalls providing information about Back on Track – including our latest annual report, as well as traditional summer fete games like tombola, build a cup cake, splat the rat, hoopla and chance to sample the famous Back on Track biscuits!
We gave everybody the opportunity to express their views about us in our big brother style diary room – you can watch the videos that were taken at the event here!
Special thanks to everybody who helped and attended the event to make it such a memorable and successful day.
