Why we’re launching Back on Track friends

Hi everyone. It’s Siobhan here, the Chief Executive of Back on Track. I want to tell you about Back on Track friends – a new way for you to support our work.

Back on Track friends will be a community of supporters who share our aims and our values. You’ll get exclusive behind the scenes news, the chance to have a say, and invitations to special events where you can learn about the impact of our work. In return we ask that you make a contribution – whether that’s making a donation of money or something we need, getting sponsored, or getting involved in a practical way. That means there is a way for everyone to become a friend of Back on Track.

This is a really exciting time for the charity. We have recently opened a café in our training centre, which is proving a huge success. And we have lots of exciting plans for the future. In the next couple of years we are hoping to start a new social enterprise, and plenty of other great new projects. There’s going to be a lot to tell you about.

At the same time it is always a challenge for charities to raise enough money to meet the demand for our services. We’re going to need your support to make our plans a reality and enable disadvantaged people in Manchester to have a better future. By becoming a friend you’ll be helping to secure our work for the years to come.

We’re signing up two types of friends: personal friends, who are individual supporters, and business friends. We’ve worked closely with a number of local employers in the last couple of years, with brilliant results. Now we want to build on that. After all, we know we have so much to offer each other.

You can find out more and sign up to Back on Track friends today by donating or completing the online form – just go to www.backontrackmanchester.org.uk/friends.

Let’s make this the start of a beautiful friendship!
